No new COVID-19 cases in Mower County for a third straight day Wednesday

Mower County logged 4,582 confirmed and 131 probable COVID-19 cases for a third straight day Wednesday for a cumulative total of 4,713 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,921 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 597,000 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,423 cumulative cases Wednesday, up two from Tuesday, Steele County confirmed 3,983 cumulative cases Wednesday, which was unchanged for a third straight day and Freeborn County reported 3,475 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, which was unchanged from Tuesday.  Dodge County now has 1,877 cumulative cases, which was unchanged for a fourth straight day Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,577 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a tenth straight day Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 81 positive COVID-19 cases in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 605,385, and they added that seven additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,594 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,668 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,623 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
