No additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County for a fourth straight day

For a fourth straight day Wednesday, Mower County logged 4,576 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a cumulative total of 4,706 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,769 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 594,000 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,380 cumulative cases Wednesday, a rise of four from Tuesday, Steele County now has 3,973 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Tuesday and Freeborn County reported 3,462 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up one from Tuesday.  Dodge County confirmed 1,874 cumulative cases for the fourth straight day Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,572 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a ninth straight day Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 150 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 603,144, and they added that there were eight additional COVID-19 related deaths reported in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,477 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,302 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota  have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,554 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
