Nebraska man sentenced to supervised probation on felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court

A Nebraska man who pleaded guilty to a felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that took place on February 2nd, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation.

39-year old Martin Leo Cleveland was convicted and sentenced Thursday to two years of supervised probation for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge.  Judge Jeffery Kritzer granted Cleveland a statutory stay of adjudication in the case where the defendant pleads guilty to a felony-level offense.  If he or she successfully completes their probation, the charge is dismissed, a conviction for a felony is not entered on their criminal record, and their record is cleared of any convictions.

Cleveland first pleaded guilty to the charge on March 1st, and two additional felony 5th degree drug possession charges, a misdemeanor charge for possession of metal knuckles and a petty misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were dismissed with Cleveland’s guilty plea.
