Mower County Sheriff’s Office investigating theft from Dexter storage shed

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a Dexter resident recently had more than $700 worth of tools stolen from a storage shed on his property.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the victim, who lives in the 63000 block of 265th Street in Dexter, reported the burglary at approximately 9:58 a.m. on the morning of June 21st.  The man told deputies that he believed the burglary occurred sometime between June 15th and Monday morning.  

Mower County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark May stated that an unknown person or persons were believed to have forced their way into the shed causing an estimated $200 in damage and stealing approximately $760 in tools.
