The Mower County Senior Center is in desperate need of volunteers to help pack and deliver nearly 750 meals each day.  Volunteer Peggy Young spoke with John Wright on “Wright Here, Right Now” on KAUS and talked about the different tasks volunteers would be handling, and she added that with businesses beginning to reopen, allowing people to return to work and summer employment starting for high school volunteers, great help is being lost every day…

Young went on to state that the program is serving community members that are likely the most uncomfortable going out of their homes to get a meal or go grocery shopping due to the COVID-19 pandemic…

Volunteers can go to the United Way of Mower County’s website to sign up at www.uwmower.org, or stop in at the Mower County Senior Center.
