Mower County issues information to local businesses to enable them to reopen safely during COVID-19 pandemic

With Minnesota starting to re-open during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minnesota Department of Health has issued health and safety guidelines for businesses.  Amy Lammey, Emergency Manager for Mower County stated to KAUS News that the Emergency Operation Center has issued information to local businesses to enable them to reopen safely, and she added that the EOC will also answer questions about the guidelines and will also assist businesses if they have a positive case…

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development’s “Safely Returning to Work” site Lammey alluded to can be found at https://mn.gov/deed/newscenter/covid/safework/.  Department officials on the site stated that the businesses’ COVID-19 Plan must be shared with the employees and posted, social distancing must take place for both employers and customers, businesses can be filled to no more than 50% of capacity, and everyone employed at a business must follow CDC and MDH guidelines for hand washing.
