The Mower County Fair Board and The National Association of Swine Records (NASR) jointly announced Tuesday that The National Barrow Show will continue the long standing tradition of being held in Austin for the next three years. The show, often referred to as The World Series of Swine Shows, has been held in Austin for 73 years.  Officials with both entities reported that the new agreement will ensure that the National Barrow Show will continue to bring some of the country’s best swine genetics as well as hundreds of participants and spectators to Austin the weekend after Labor Day.

The National Barrow Show is conducted by the National Association of Swine Records, which consists of the three breed organizations – the National Swine Registry, Certified Pedigreed Swine, and the American Berkshire Association. Collectively, there are nine swine breeds represented by NASR.

The 74th National Barrow Show will be held September 12th through the 15th at the Mower County Fairgrounds in Austin.
