Mower County Board of Commissioners candidates in District 2 take part in Meet the Candidates Forum
The Austin Area Chamber of Commerce and KAUS hosted a Meet the Candidates forum at our studios last week, and incumbent Polly Glynn and challenger Ray Tucker, the two candidates for the District 2 seat on the Mower County Board of Commissioners took part in the forum and answered a variety of questions on such issues as the county’s infrastructure needs, helping businesses in Mower County financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic and expanding high-speed broadband service in the county. Polly Glynn was asked how she would plan to work with other board members if she is re-elected in November concerning the county’s budget to keep taxes down, due to the possibility of county program aid from the state being cut because of a nearly $5 budget shortfall due to the pandemic…
