MNsure’s seven-week open enrollment period begins Friday, Nov. 1, at 7 a.m. and runs through Dec. 23, 2019. During this time, Minnesotans can enroll, renew or change private health insurance through MNsure. KAUS News spoke with Nate Clark, the CEO of MNsure who talked about what’s new for this year’s enrollment period…

Clark stated that health insurance rates for 2020 have not changed much from 2019, and he went on to talk about an added bonus for Minnesotans seeking health care this enrollment period…

 

Clark went on to state that MNsure is the only place where Minnesotans can access federal tax credits to help pay for their monthly insurance costs….

Clark added that there is a statewide network of assisters that will help Minnesotans enroll for healthcare for free…

Everyone enrolled during the open enrollment period will have a Jan. 1, 2020, effective date.  Minnesotans can check out MNsure’s help form at their webpage, www.mnsure.org to see if their questions can be answered online. Additionally, beginning Nov. 1, MNsure enrollees will be able to log in to their account and easily adjust the amount of tax credits applied to their monthly premium, verify their enrollment or disenroll in coverage without having to make a phone call.
