Minnesota Timberwolves Guard Edwards Apologizes for Using Gay Slur

The Minnesota Timberwolves are holding their first training camp practices today at Mayo Clinic Square.
Wolves guard Anthony Edwards is apologizing for homophobic comments he made on social media earlier this month.
“I respect everybody. I know what I posted was immature and I’m sorry for that If i hurt anyone. I’m working with the team and I’m sorry to all the Minnesota fans and I’m working to be better,” Edwards said.
The NBA fined Edwards $40,000 for using offensive and derogatory language in a video depicting Edwards using a gay slur to describe four shirtless men on a sidewalk.
