Minnesota Senate passes bill to replenish the state’s Unemployment Insurance Fund

The Republican-controlled Minnesota Senate Monday afternoon passed a 2.7-billion-dollar bill to replenish the state’s COVID-depleted Unemployment Insurance Fund, avoiding a business tax increase, and also to pay back the federal government.   Democrats respond Republicans still haven’t agreed on COVID bonuses for front-line workers, while companies like Austin-based Hormel could see tax savings around two million dollars…
