Yesterday, the Minnesota House Higher Education and Agriculture Committees along with University of Minnesota Regent Mary Davenport, Vice President Chris Cramer and Dean Brian Buhr visited The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota to meet with faculty, tour the facility and learn about the innovative cancer research taking place in Austin, MN.

They were able to see inside a lab, learn about the world’s most powerful cryo-electron microscope and hear from the faculty on how their research is accelerating answers to cancer.

Officials with the Institute thanked Rep. Jeanne Poppe for bringing the group to The Hormel Institute to further advocacy for cancer research in southern Minnesota.
