Mickelson named teacher of the year for Austin Public Schools

Congratulations to Maria Mickelson, a second-grade teacher at Neveln Elementary School in Austin who was chosen Friday as the Austin Public School’s Teacher of the Year.
Mickelson has been teaching second grade for 30 years, 13 of those at Neveln, and she is now eligible to become the Minnesota Teacher of the Year. Those results will be announced in May 2020.
