MDH reports 30 addtional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Wednesday for cumulative total of 11,448

Mower County logged 10,978 confirmed and 470 probable COVID-19 cases Wednesday for a cumulative total of 11,448 since the onset of the pandemic, up 30 from Tuesday, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,379,102, and over 1,342,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 38,292 cumulative cases Wednesday, a rise of 103 from Tuesday, Steele County reported 9,905 cumulative cases Wednesday, up 29 from Tuesday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,614 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up 17 from Tuesday.  Dodge County now has 5,420 cumulative cases, up 11 from Tuesday and Fillmore County recorded 4,437 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, a rise of nine from Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 3,833 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 1,324,342, and they added that 40 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 11,722 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 58,705 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 10,939 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
