MDH reports 13 new positive COVID-19 cases in Mower County for a total of 945

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Friday that the total number of deaths due to the COVID-19, or coronavirus has risen to 1,466, while the total number of positive cases in the state has climbed above 37,600.

Health officials indicated that the state now has a total of 37,624 positive cases, which was up 423 from 37,210 on Thursday, and the 1,466 deaths due to the virus was up eight from 1,458 on Thursday.  They added that 1,150 COVID-19 related deaths thus far in Minnesota have been from cases that resided in long-term or assisted living facilities.  Mower County reported 13 new positive COVID-19 cases Friday for a total of 945, Olmsted County now has 1,101 positive cases, up 25 from 1,076 on Thursday and Rice County recorded 835 cases Friday, up seven from 828 on Thursday.  Blue Earth County reported 453 cases, up 11 from 442 on Thursday, Freeborn County reported 290 cases Friday, up one from 289 on Thursday and Steele County now has 228 cases, up five from 223 on Thursday. 

Goodhue County recorded 129 cases Friday, up two from 127 on Thursday, Dodge County now has 84 cases, up one from 83 on Thursday and Waseca County reported 64 cases Friday, up two from 62 on Thursday.  Wabasha County remained at 31 cases Friday, Fillmore County now has 28 cases, up one from 27 on Thursday and Houston County remained at 25 cases for a second straight day.
