MDH reports 12 additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 4,477

Mower County logged 4,537 confirmed and 120 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,477 since the onset of the pandemic, up 12 from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 40,001 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 518,600 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 12,604 cumulative cases Monday, up 17 from Sunday, Steele County recorded 3,497 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of eight from Sunday, Freeborn County now has 3,217 cumulative COVID-19 cases, up 16 from Sunday, Dodge County logged 1,683 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 1,508 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up two from Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,994 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 544,046, and they added that Minnesota’s death toll from the coronavirus rose by two from Sunday to 6,959 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 28,255 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 5,781 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
