MDH records three additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Friday for cumulative total of 11,737

Mower County logged 11,238 confirmed and 499 probable COVID-19 cases Friday for a cumulative total of 11,737 since the onset of the pandemic, up three from Thursday, according to statistics released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections  for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,417,811, and over 1,399,000 people in Minnesota have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 39,897 cumulative cases Friday, a rise of 44 from Thursday, Steele County reported 10,234 cumulative cases Friday, up one from Thursday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,929 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up four from Thursday.  Dodge County now has 5,593 cumulative cases, up six from Thursday and Fillmore County recorded 4,671 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up seven from Thursday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 833 positive COVID-19 cases in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 1,356,313, and they added  that 11 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total of 12,183 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 60,679 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 11,248 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
