MDH calls COVID-19 testing in Austin over the weekend a success

A testing push in Mower County was a success over the weekend after a spike in COVID-19 cases in the county last week. Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm.

Health officials reported that a total of 1,171 COVID-19 tests were administered on Saturday at the Mower County Fairgrounds, and 888 tests were administered on Sunday for a weekend total of 2,059.  Meanwhile Malcolm says the stability around the situation lately has led to fewer numbers of weekend tests completed on average. There were just over 86-hundred tests completed yesterday.
