Mankato man sentenced to supervised probation on felony firearm ammunition possession charge in Mower County District Court

A Mankato man who was found to be in possession of 201 grams of marijuana, 1.18 grams of methamphetamine, shotgun shells, two THC smoking devices with THC oil and syringes after a traffic stop in LeRoy on the evening of June 25th, 2018 has been sentenced to supervised probation in Mower County District Court.

48-year old Michael John McClatchey was convicted and sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation for a felony charge of being a violent felon in possession of firearm ammunition.  A 60-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if McClatchey complies with the 19 different terms of his probation, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge on January 24th of this year.

Three felony 5th degree drug possession charges, plus a misdemeanor charge for driving after revocation and a petty misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were dismissed with McClatchey’s guilty plea.
