Mankato man sentenced to supervised probation on felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court
A Mankato man who pleaded guilty to a felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that took place on September 20th, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation.
25-year old Tyler David Peterson was convicted and sentenced Thursday to three years of supervised probation for a felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation. Judge Jeffery Kritzer granted Peterson a stay of imposition in the case where the defendant pleads guilty to a felony level offense. If he or she successfully completes their probation, the conviction will be deemed a misdemeanor.
Peterson first pleaded guilty to the charge on June 10th, and a felony charge for 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony charge for terroristic threats, reckless disregard risk, a gross misdemeanor charge for child endangerment and a misdemeanor domestic assault charge in the case were all dismissed with Peterson’s guilty plea.
