Man and woman from Austin injured in Sunday afternoon motorcycle accident in Fillmore County

A man and a woman from Austin were injured in a motorcycle accident in Fillmore County Sunday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 45-year old Michael and 53-year old Christy Haag were riding north on their 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Highway 30 at approximately 4:21 p.m. Sunday afternoon when it went off the road at Fillmore County Road 11 and into the ditch.

The State Patrol reported that both sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident. Christy Haag was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, and they added that neither party was wearing a helmet.  The State Patrol indicated in their report that alcohol was not a factor in the accident but have not identified the cause.

The Chatfield Police Department, the Chatfield Fire Department and Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
