Lyle woman injured in three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 16/63 in Mower County Tuesday afternoon

A Lyle woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 16/63 at the Mower/Fillmore Road in Mower County Tuesday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2019 Chevy Express van being driven by 33-year old Kenneth William McBride of Rochester was eastbound on Highway 16/63 at approximately 2:24 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, and was waiting to make a left turn onto the Mower/Fillmore road when his vehicle collided with a 2002 Chevy Tahoe being driven by 29-year old Tyler John Kloeckner of Adams, which was also eastbound on the highway at the time of the collision.  The State Patrol reported that the two vehicles then struck a westbound 2015 Ford Explorer being driven by 30-year old Tasha Marie Block of Lyle.

Block suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment, while both McBride and Kloeckner were uninjured.  The State Patrol indicated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Mower and Fillmore County Sheriff’s Departments, Grand Meadow Fire and Ambulance, and MnDOT all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Tuesday afternoon.
