Lyle/Pacelli routs Alden/Conger 106-42 in non-conference boys basketball Monday evening

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team was at All Saints Arena Monday evening to play host to the Knights of Alden/Conger in a non-conference matchup, and it was the Athletics making it rain from beyond the 3-point arc with 17 total for the game, and they lit up the scoreboard with 54 second half points to rout the Knights 106-42.

Lyle/Pacelli was a blistering 17 for 36 from beyond the 3-point arc for 47.2%, and the Athletics also kept up their torrid shooting percentage overall from the field during their current seven-game winning streak by going 37 for 77 for 48.1%.  Junior guard Buay Koak led four Athletics in double figures in scoring with 34 points, plus he added eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and one blocked shot, Mac Nelson contributed 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four of the squad’s 22 steals, Trey Anderson tallied a double-double with 12 points, a team-high 10 rebounds, three assists and four steals, Jake Truckenmiller added 11 points, four rebounds and team-highs in assists with eight and steals with six, Mitchell Johnson chipped in eight points, Landon Meyer and Hunter Bauer each scored seven points, with Bauer adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals, Andrew Federick contributed five points and Luke Weaver scored two points for the Athletics, who raised their record to 19-3 on the season with the win.

Lyle/Pacelli returns to action in a big Southeast Conference West Division matchup Thursday night in Adams versus the second place Rebels, with the varsity tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
