Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball rolls by Houston 81-43 Thursday evening

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team was looking to keep their early-season record unblemished Thursday evening in a Southeast Conference matchup in Houston versus the Hurricanes, and guard Buay Koak registered yet another big game with 38 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists as the Athletics led 43-28 at the half on their way to a 81-43 win.

Besides Koak’s 38 points, two other Athletics were also in double figures as Mac Nelson registered 19 points, a team-high nine rebounds and four assists, and Jakob Truckenmiller added 16 points, three rebounds and three assists.  Trey Anderson had a strong game for LP with four points, a team-high eight assists, six rebounds and a team-high four steals, Mitchel Johnson added two points and David Christianson and and Luke Weaver each scored one point for the Athletics, who raised their record to 3-0 overall with the win and 3-0 in the Southeast Conference.

LP kicks off a three-game homestand Saturday for their next game versus Schaeffer Academy in Lyle, with tip-off at 5:15 p.m.
