Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball rolls by Glenville/Emmons 91-45

In Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball action that you heard Friday evening here on AM 1480 KAUS, the Athletics were looking to get back on the winning track inside the friendly confines of All Saints Arena versus the Glenville/Emmons Wolverines in a Southeast Conference matchup, and three quick Wolverine turnovers to start the game turned into nine quick points for LP as the Athletics were never headed the rest of the way in a 91-45 win.

After pushing their lead in the first half to 20-6, the Athletics forced 14 Wolverine turnovers and ended the half on a 32-10 run to lead 52-16 at the halftime buzzer.  The Athletics then started the second half on a 12-0 run to push their lead to 43 at 64-21, and they later increased their lead to as large as 52 points on their way to the win.

Buay Koak scored 27 of his 36 points in the first half to help lead the way to the win for LP, plus he added 10 rebounds for a double-double, four steals, one assist and one blocked shot, Jake Truckenmiller tallied 13 points, six assists, two rebounds and two steals, Mac Nelson was also in double figures in scoring with 10 points, plus he added four rebounds, six assists and two steals, Trey Anderson chipped in nine points, a team-high 13 rebounds, four assists and a team-high five steals, Landon Meyer and Hunter Bauer each tallied six points, David Christianson chipped in five points and Othello Stone, Jaden May and Luke Weaver all scored two points for the Athletics, who stayed a half-game ahead of Southland atop the West Division of the Southeast Conference at 9-1, and they are now 13-3 overall on the season.

LP will be back in action at All Saints Arena Monday evening as they wrap up a four-game homestand against Fillmore Central in a non-conference matchup, with the varsity tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
