Lyle/Pacelli boys’ basketball downs Kingsland 67-43 Tuesday evening

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team played game four of a current five-game road swing Tuesday night in Spring Valley versus the Kingsland Knights in the Southeast Conference, and guards Buay Koak and Jake Truckenmiller both tallied over 20 points as the Athletics led 40-19 at the half on their way to a 67-43 win.
Koak put up yet another impressive stat line to help lead LP to the win Tuesday night with team-highs in points with 25, rebounds with eight, assists with five and steals with four, plus he blocked a team-high six shots, Jake Truckenmiller added 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, Mac Nelson tallied nine points, two rebounds and two assists, Trey Anderson chipped in four points, Othello Stone and Landon Meyer each tallied three points and David Christianson scored two points for the Athletics, who stayed a half-game ahead of Southland atop the Southeast Conference’s West Division at 7-0, and they are now 10-2 overall with the win.
Lyle/Pacelli will finish their current five-game road swing in St. Ansgar, Iowa Thursday evening for a non-conference matchup, with the action set to start at 7:30 p.m.
