Lyle/Pacelli boys’ basketball downs Fillmore Central 77-66

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team was looking for its third win in a row and ninth in their last 10 games at All Saints Arena at Pacelli Saturday evening versus the Fillmore Central Falcons out of the Three Rivers Conference in a non-conference matchup, and junior guard Buay Koak erupted for 34 points, 14 rebounds, two steals, one assist and four blocked shots to help lead the Athletics to a 77-66 win.

For the second game in a row, Lyle/Pacelli shot a high percentage from the field at 52.9% and led 44-36 at the half on their way to the win.  Besides Koak’s monster stat line, guard Jake Truckenmiller rolled up 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one blocked shot, Mac Nelson was also in double figures with 10 points and two rebounds, Trey Anderson provided five points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals, and Hunter Bauer and David Christianson each scored two points apiece for the Athletics, who raised their record to 15-3 overall on the season with the win.

LP returns to action this (Monday) evening in Glenville versus Glenville/Emmons in a Southeast Conference matchup, with varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
