Lyle/Pacelli Athletics girls basketball team downed by Mankato Loyola 39-32 Thursday night
The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics girls basketball team was back on the road Thursday evening as they traveled to Mankato to take on the Loyola Crusaders in the second meeting of the season between the two squads, and it was the Crusaders pulling out a 39-32 win on their home floor Thursday night.
Madeline Klankowski led the Athletics in scoring Thursday evening with seven points, plus she also pulled in four rebounds, Lexi Lewis drained both of LP’s 3-pointers in the game for six points, Kirsten Koopal and Autumn Drennan both also scored six points apiece, with Koopal adding six rebounds and a team-high two steals, Morgan Klankowski scored four points and pulled in a team-high 10 rebounds, and 8th grade guard Grace Bauer scored two points Thursday night.
With the loss, the Athletics are now 0-9 on the season, and Lyle/Pacelli returns to action versus Klawock City, Alaska on Thursday, December 28th, with tip-off in Lyle at 5:00 p.m. that afternoon.
