Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team downs Eau Claire Regis 55-50 Saturday for sixth win in a row
The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team took a lengthy road trip to Prescott, Wisconsin Saturday to take on Eau Claire Regis in a non-conference game in search of their sixth win in a row, and after trailing 47-43 in the later stages of the second half, the Athletics ended the game on a 12-3 run to win 55-50.
Guard Jake Truckenmiller led the way offensively for LP Saturday by drilling six of the squad’s 8 3-pointers in the game on his way to 22 points, five rebounds and team highs in assists with three, and in steals with three, fellow senior guard Buay Koak was also in double figures in scoring with 11 points, plus he added a team-high eight rebounds, one steal and four blocked shots, Mac Nelson was also in double figures in scoring with 10 points, plus he added five rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot, sophomore forward Dylan Christianson had one of his best games of the season with seven points, four boards and a team-high five blocked shots, Landon Meyer tallied three points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal, and Trey Anderson tallied two points, three rebounds and two assists in the winning effort.
The Athletics are now 12-2 overall with the win, and Lyle/Pacelli returns to action this (Monday) evening in Mabel versus Mabel/Canton in the Southeast Conference, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
