Lyle man sentenced to supervised probation, community work service and restitution on felony forgery and bribery charges in Mower County District Court
A Lyle man facing felony forgery and bribery charges in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident in Lyle on August 3rd, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation, community work service and restitution.
56-year old Jarrod David Young was sentenced Tuesday to four years of supervised probation, 40 hours of community work service and $581 in restitution for a felony charge of forgery. Young was granted a stay of imposition in the case where the defendant pleads guilty to a felony-level offense. If he or she successfully completes their probation, the conviction will be deemed a misdemeanor. Young was also convicted and sentenced back on February 9th of this year to four years of supervised probation for a felony charge of bribery. Young was also granted a stay of imposition on that charge, and Judge Jeffery Krtizer determined that Young will be allowed to serve the two sentences concurrently.
Young pleaded guilty to both charges on October 14th, 2022, and he was convicted on the felony forgery charge on February 9th of this year. A felony charge for recording or filing of a forged instrument in the case against Young was dismissed with his guilty pleas.
