Lyle man pleads not guilty to felony aiding and abetting assault, riot charges in Mower County District Court

A Lyle man facing charges in Mower County District Court after a pair of juveniles were stabbed in the city of Lyle on the evening of November 16th is pleading not guilty. 

18-year old Carsen Brian Dolan pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony charges of aiding and abetting 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, substantial bodily harm, aiding and abetting 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and 2nd degree riot, armed with a dangerous weapon.  

Mower County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of 4th Street in the city of Lyle at approximately 5:32 p.m. on the evening of November 16th for a report of an assault involving two juveniles who had suffered stab wounds during an altercation.  The two injured juveniles, one male and one female, both 16 years of age were both transported and treated at the hospital, and both were later released with non-life threatening injuries.  Deputies arrested two suspects at the scene, and Dolan and a 14-year old juvenile male were both placed in custody. 

A pre-trial hearing for Dolan in Mower County District Court has been scheduled for April 21st, 2023, and a jury trial has been scheduled for May 1st.
