With Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota Legislature engrossed in efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, some have questioned whether other items of business will be addressed before the current legislative session adjourns in mid-May.  KAUS spoke with State District 27B Representative Jeanne Poppe, DFL’er from Austin who stated that the Governor, the House and the Senate have indicated that they would like to see a bonding bill passed…

Poppe went on to state that she anticipates a special session being called by Governor Walz due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and she added that other items of business that will be addressed will include adjusting the state’s budget…

The current legislative session is scheduled to adjourn on May 18th.
