A Kasson man who was found with 123.91 grams of methamphetamine, 2.82 grams of marijuana, two marijuana pipes, a methamphetamine pipe and $962 in cash after a search warrant was executed on his vehicle in Mower County on July 31st, 2018 has been sentenced to a lengthy supervised probation term in Mower County District Court.

31-year old Benjamin Thomas Braaten was sentenced Monday to 40 years of supervised probation for a felony charge of second-degree drugs-possess 25 grams or more of cocaine or methamphetamine.  He received credit for 75 days served in jail.

The charge was reduced from felony first-degree drugs-possess 100 grams or more of cocaine of methamphetamine as part of a plea agreement reached on July 25th.  Braaten must follow 14 conditions while on probation. Failure to follow the conditions could result in 105 months in prison.
