Iowa man sentenced to supervised probation, community work service on felony robbery and drug possession charges in Mower County District Court

An Iowa man facing felony robbery and drug possession charges in Mower County District Court stemming from incidents that occurred in November of 2021 and February of 2022 has been sentenced to supervised probation and community work service.

21-year old Quindell Lashawn Jefferson of Mason City, Iowa was convicted and sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation for a felony charge of simple robbery stemming from an incident that occurred on November 2nd, 2021.  A 28-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Jefferson complies with the 25 different conditions of his probation, and he pleaded guilty to the charge on February 14th.

Jefferson was also convicted and sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation and 100 hours of community work service for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge, which stems from an incident that took place on February 2nd.  A 15-month prison sentence was stayed for three years if Jefferson adheres to the conditions of his probation, and he also pleaded guilty to the charge on February 14th.

A misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest and petty misdemeanor charges for possession of a small amount of marijuana and for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were dismissed with Jefferson’s guilty plea.
