Iowa man sentenced to prison time on felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court
An Iowa man who sexually assaulted a boy under the age of 13 in Mower County in April of 2018 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.
42-year old Charles Wesley Jones of Oelwein, IA, was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison for a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, victim under 13, actor more than 36 months older. Jones was given credit for 115 days already served, and the judge in the case also determined that a conditional release period of 99 years will follow Jones’ prison sentence.
An additional felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, victim under 13, actor more than 36 months older, plus a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, significant relationship, under 16, multiple acts in the case against Jones were dismissed with his guilty plea.
