Iowa man pleads guilty to felony drug sale charge in Mower County District Court

An Iowa man who sold methamphetamine to a Confidential Reliable Informant, or CRI in Austin in January of 2019 has pleaded guilty in Mower County District Court.
32-year old Jon Thomas Faas, of Alexander, IA, entered a guilty plea Monday to a felony charge of 2nd degree sale of methamphetamine. Faas was arrested after the Southeast Minnesota Drug Task Force accused him of selling 30.92 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Austin on January 4, 2019.
Court records show Faas has a prior conviction in Mower County for a 2nd degree drug crime in 2015.
Faas’ sentencing in Mower County District Court is scheduled for February 4, 2021.
