Illinois man sentenced to prison time on felony theft charge in Mower County District Court

One of two suspects who stole just over $6,500 worth of items from Runnings of Austin on April 29th, 2021 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

33-year old Reginald Detron Hollingbird, originally from Westchester, Illinois and currently serving a 105-month prison sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud on two felony charges of 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon and three felony 1st degree aggravated robbery charges stemming from five different incidents in Ramsey County in January of this year was convicted and sentenced Friday to 23 months in prison, plus $376 in restitution to Runnings for a felony charge of theft, taking, using or transferring movable property without consent.  Hollingbird first pleaded guilty to the charge on August 5th of this year, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Hollingbird will be able to serve his prison sentences concurrently.

A felony escape from custody charge in the case against Hollingbird stemming from an incident on December 28th, 2021 was dismissed with his guilty plea.
