Hollandale teen injured in one-vehicle accident in Mower County Saturday morning

A teenager from Hollandale was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 251 in Mower County Saturday morning.   

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a vehicle being driven by 18-year old Aubrieana Rae Strain, of Hollandale, was eastbound on Highway 251 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning when she went off the road at the intersection with U.S. Highway 218 and entered the east ditch.

Strain suffered what were described as non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for treatment. The State Patrol reported that Strain was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and they added that the road was covered with snow and ice at the time the accident occurred.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
