Head Petroleum Analyst with gasbuddy.com talks falling unleaded gas prices

After recently reaching historic highs, gas prices have been trending downward as of late not only in Minnesota, but the rest of the country as well.  KAUS News spoke with Patrick DeHaan, Head Petroleum Analyst with the website gasbuddy.com, who gave the reasons as to why gas prices have been falling…

DeHaan went on to state that, unfortunately, there are some factors that could push gas prices higher in the future…

DeHaan stated that concerning diesel fuel, the price per gallon could possibly drop below $4.00 a gallon in the future, but he added that supply remains tight…

The current average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Mower County is $4.33.  The county in Minnesota with the highest average price is currently Koochiching on the state’s northern border at $4.59, while the lowest average price is in Pennington County in northwestern Minnesota at $3.79.  The current statewide average price for a gallon of gas is $4.30, while the national average is also currently at $4.30.  The current average price for a gallon of diesel fuel in Minnesota is $5.37.
