Hartland man sentenced to prison time on felony drug sale charge in Mower County District Court

A Hartland man who sold nearly 28 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Austin in December of 2021 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.  

33-year old Derek Lee Olson pleaded guilty on May 20th to a felony charge of 3rd degree drugs, sale of a narcotic and was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 45 months in prison, with credit for 58 days already served.

Olson was first arrested in April and charged with a felony for first-degree sale of drugs, and he agreed to plead guilty to the felony 3rd degree drug sale charge in May as part of a plea deal in the case.
