Harlingen, Texas man sentenced to prison time on felony violating a harassment restraining order, drug sale charges in Mower County District Court

A Harlingen, Texas man who assaulted and threatened an ex-girlfriend in Austin with both a knife and a screwdriver on December 5th, 2021 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

In an amended court decision from Monday, 44-year old Daniel Garcia was sentenced to 18 months in prison on a felony charge of violating a harassment restraining order.  Judge Jeffery Krtizer determined that Garcia will serve the sentence concurrently with a 21-month sentence he is currently serving for the identical charge.  

Garcia was also sentenced in an amended court decision Monday to 27 months in prison for a felony charge of 3rd degree drugs, sale of a narcotic after selling 5.422 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Austin on July 15th, 2021.  Judge Kritzer determined that Garcia will be allowed to serve the sentence concurrently with the other two sentences stemming from December of 2021.
