Guidelines being sent to all food processing facilities in Minnesota after COVID-19 outbreak at JBS Pork Plant in Worthington

State officials say they’ll send guidelines to all food processing facilities in the state plus offer assistance, in the wake of the indefinite shutdown of the J-B-S pork plant in Worthington due to a COVID-19 outbreak among employees.  District 27 Senator Dan Sparks, DFL’er from Austin spoke with KAUS and stated that both he and Governor Tim Walz have been in contact with Hormel Foods concerning the situation…

Governor Tim Walz says the state needs to be ready to conduct testing at other plants, before there’s the same situation as at J-B-S.  Walz indicated that his goal is 40 thousand tests weekly.
