Grizzlies’ Hart signs NAHL tender with Austin Bruins
The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced that captain Peyton Hart has signed a North American Hockey League tender with the Austin Bruins for the 2020-21 season.
Hart, 18, is in his second season with the Grizzlies. Last year, the Delafield, WI native tallied 36 points (14 goals, 22 assists) in 46 games played. In 41 games this season, the forward has already matched his goal total and has 24 points for a total of 38 points, good for fourth best on the team. Hart has also appeared in six games with the Bruins this season.
Hart is the second Grizzlies player to sign an NAHL tender for next season. Goalie Sean Guerin signed a tender with the Wichita Falls Warriors two weeks ago.
With Hart signing a tender with the Bruins, he is no longer eligible for the NAHL Draft and cannot be recruited by another NAHL team. His rights belong to the Austin Bruins.
The Grizzlies and Bruins are both home this weekend for two games.
