Great PTTP Challenge to take place Saturday

The Great Paint the Town Pink Challenge, a new event this year for the PTTP initiative will be held this Saturday from 1-4 p.m., and it will start and end at the Hormel Institute.

The cost is $20 per vehicle, as due to COVID-19, many regular Paint the Town Pink events had to be cancelled.  Organizers are inviting everyone to join in the challenge for not only a great family experience, but also to raise funds to further cancer research at the Institute.  Register at the Institute at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon and you’ll receive a bingo card full of challenges, which include skeet shooting at the Cedar Valley Conservation Club, taking a slapshot at an Austin Bruins goaltender, a disc golf challenge, a demo car display at the Mower County Fairgrounds, and many, many more.

There will be prizes and refreshments, and those that participate are being asked to wear a costume for a special drawing.  Check the Hormel Institute’s website at hi.umn.edu/pttp for more details, and for questions or more information, you can also contact PTTP Coordinator Kathi Finley at [email protected], or you can call her at (507) 351-0957.
