An Iowa woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on U.S. Highway 63 in Olmsted County.    

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Thursday near mile marker 31 on northbound U.S. Highway 63. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 73-year old Gregory James Klees, of Grand Meadow, was northbound on Highway 63 in his 2018 Freightliner tractor when he collided with a 2007 Mazda CX-9 being driven by 41-year old Angel Marie Delagarza, of Lime Springs, Iowa, who was also northbound on Highway 63.  

Delagarza suffered a non-life threatening injury and was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.  Klees was uninjured.  

The State Patrol reported that both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
