Grand Meadow Superlarks volleyball team sweeps Southland 3-0 Tuesday evening

The Grand Meadow Superlarks volleyball team was looking for win number four in a row Tuesday evening as they played host to the Southland Rebels in a Southeast Conference matchup, and it was the Larks winning in a 3-0 sweep 25-23, 25-21 and 25-14.

For Grand Meadow, Rylee Schaufler led the squad in set assists with 23, plus she served up two aces and added three digs, Lexy Foster led Grand Meadow in kills with nine, plus she put up one set assist, came up with five digs defensively and served up an ace, Gracie Foster contributed six kills, and she led the Larks in digs with nine and in ace serves with four, Lauren Queensland tallied seven kills, one set assist, eight digs and a pair of ace blocks, Haylie Paul chipped in three kills, four digs defensively and three ace serves, Kendall Jack also tallied three kills and four digs, plus she added an ace serve, Hailey Lovejoy contributed one dig and one ace block, Hallie Hendrickson put up one set assist, and Rylee Holst and Grace Soltau added one dig apiece in the win.

For Southland, Nevaeh Shaw led the team in kills with 10, plus she tallied 1.5 blocks, Katelyn McCabe put down nine kills for the Rebels, Julia Kiefer led Southland in set assists with 15, Maren Wehrenberg put up 11 set assists for the match, Shannon Kiefer came up with seven digs defensively, Abby Sorgatz added 11 digs and a team-high two ace serves, Ava Payne tallied seven digs and one ace serve, and Breeley Galle chipped in 1.5 blocks.

With the win, Grand Meadow is now 3-1 in the Southeast Conference, and 4-3 overall on the season, while Southland is now 0-3 in the Southeast Conference and 0-3 overall on the season.  The Superlarks return to action Thursday evening at home versus Glenville-Emmons, while the Rebels will play host to Lyle/Pacelli Thursday evening.

Both matches will start at 7:15 p.m.
