Grand Meadow Superlarks girls basketball team downs Houston 60-44 Monday evening

The Grand Meadow Superlarks girls basketball team, ranked No. 13 in the state in Class A in the latest rankings from the Minnesota Basketball News was looking for win number five in a row at home versus the Houston Hurricanes in a Southeast Conference matchup Monday evening, and it was the Superlarks pulling away in the second half to win 60-44.

The Larks had two players tally 18 points apiece on their way to the win, with Lauren Queensland hitting two of the squad’s seven 3-pointers and pulling in eight rebounds, and Lexy Foster also added a pair of 3’s in the win, Gracie Foster tallied seven points, Kendyl Queensland drilled a pair of 3-pointers for six points, Aspen Kolling and Rebecca Hoffman each tallied four points, and Sydney Cotten chipped in three points as the Superlarks led 28-24 at the half on their way to the win.

Grand Meadow is now 11-2 overall and 8-1 in the Southeast Conference, and the Superlarks return to action Thursday night in the first game of a four-game road trip versus Southeast Conference foe Lyle/Pacelli, with the varsity tip-off at All Saints Arena at Pacelli at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
