The Grand Meadow Superlarks girls’ basketball team was on the road at Mabel to meet Mabel-Canton in a Southeast Conference tilt in Grand Meadow Tuesday evening, and it was the Superlarks snapping a two-game losing streak with a 40-28 win.

In a defensive battle that saw Grand Meadow lead 12-9 at the half, River Landers led the Larks with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, Sydney Cotten nailed two of the squad’s five 3-pointers and finished with 10 points, Lexy Foster tallied six points on two 3-pointers and added six rebounds, Madison Hindt chipped in five points, Kendyl Queensland added four points and six rebounds and Rebecca Hoffman and McKenna Hendrickson each added two points in the win.

Grand Meadow moves to 3-2 in the Gopher Conference with the win, and they now stand at 3-4 overall.  The Superlarks are back on the court Thursday evening against the Southland Rebels, with varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
