Governor Walz expeted to announce 2-week extension of stay-at-home plus easing some retail restrictions

Governor Tim Walz will reportedly announce this afternoon that he’ll extend a stay-at-home order that was set to expire Monday for at least another two weeks, but he is also expected to allow additional retailers to reopen with curbside pickup or delivery. It comes after the governor said Wednesday in Worthington that Minnesota has enough hospital beds for the coming COVID-19 peak:

 

But the state is not yet doing 20-thousand COVID tests per day, which Walz said last week would be in place soon through a joint effort with Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota.
