Future of Austin’s Freedom Fest celebration up in the air

The future of Austin’s Freedom Fest celebration is up in the air at this time as the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce recently notified the City of Austin that they will no longer plan, organize and operate the entire event themselves.  The chamber told city officials that they will be in charge of the parade, and Austin Mayor Tom Stiehm told KAUS that the city is looking for other organizations or groups to step forward and take over the other aspects of the celebration…
